Reflections of mePosted by JJ (Jersey City, United States) on 29 October 2008 in People & Portrait. Since ISAO and DJ,Tigersprout decided to make today self portrait day I would participate, but also add my own twist since I dont really do self portraits http://visionlogic.aminus3.com/
I do have four beautiful Daughters, all pretty much grown up now back in NZ who I love dearly Cheers Thank you for taking the time to visit. I really appreciate all your comments, and welcome any critique as I am learning the art of photography, and having a blast with it Getting ready for a work trip from the 29th so may not be able to check all your posts but will do as and when I can

FLOOG from United KingdomSuperb. And nice to meet you. I always think a self portrait should have an element of surprise, and leave something to the imagination, and you've done exactly that. Perfect 29 Oct 2008 5:19am @FLOOG: Thanks Floog, Basically i just hate photos of myself and hence went for this approach, but now I will use your words to explain this shot ;) Lorraine from Gatineau, CanadaHey there JJ, how neat to meet you, see I thought you were a girl lol I enjoyed this artistic self-portrait, bravo :) 29 Oct 2008 5:30am @Lorraine: Thanks Lorraine, No I am definitely a guy, I used to be the typical young Macho male type, but getting on in years and can get in touch with my emotional and sensitive side so maybe thats why people may have taken me as a lady Zing from Hamilton, New ZealandGreat capture and are you going to come back to NZ? :) 29 Oct 2008 5:48am @Zing: Thanks Zing, I am hoping to get back for a visit early next year, maybe april may since I will be a granddad around then :), as for where I will settle when I retire, no idea at this stage, Wife is from England, and has also lived away from there for quite a few years so choosing a place to settle is still a tough call Siddhesh from Melbourne, AustraliaHey nice shot... THANK YOU HEAPS -- not only for your OVERWHELMINGLY cool self portrait, but also for your FASCINATING and quite personal bio too!!! Its amazing what you find out when you get people to talk about themselves!!! I had no idea you worked for the UN and that is VERY COOL indeed!!! :D We will have to chat about that offline!!! This is the most unrestrained shot -- the patterning from the 'mirrors' is just the most amazing visual effect that correctly HIDES much more than it REVEALS!!! ;) However, having said that, your BIO opens you right up like a book -- and now i do feel i know you quite a bit better!!
