looking up 42nd StreetPosted by JJ (Jersey City, United States) on 18 November 2008 in Cityscape & Urban and Portfolio. Often on my walk to the train after work I walk past Tudor City which goes over 42nd Street, now that its getting darker earlier, this was the view I saw, wish I had been carrying a tripod but not to bad for handheld so here it is Thank you for taking the time to visit. I really appreciate all your comments, and welcome any critique as I am learning the art of photography, and having a blast with it IF you see yourself in any of my people on the street shots and want it to be removed please contact me and I will remove it straight away

Kathryn from Warburton, Australiano i don't think you needed a tripod because this is fantastic! i like that you have used a fast enough shutter speed so that the lights of the traffic aren't blurred but slow enough so that the colours are really rich at the same time! also great work for hand held at a 1/4 second! i particularily like the shaft of yellow light shining down onto the street scene as well as the variety of colours present on the street. i love it all JJ - well done! 18 Nov 2008 5:12am Linerberry from Sumner, Christchurch, New ZealandThat is just INCREDIBLE!!!! you really didn't need the tripod mate...you got this just right. La vie ici impulse son rythme débridée. Great shot ! 18 Nov 2008 7:16am Marhilde from Geraardsbergen, BelgiumSometimes an image can be, on technical way perfect, but lacking mood and feeling.
