This is very lovely. Love the deiicate colors and the very harsh corregated iron. Is that what it is? 10 Jan 2009 8:30am Elaine- from Canadalove the pinks and greens, and such, very delicate colors to the arches... superb shot 10 Jan 2009 10:33am EYES WIDE SHUT from The library of my soul, United KingdomThe arches as silhouette leading to those background steps offers thoughts of romance and escape. Greetings 10 Jan 2009 10:44am Nina from Hamburg, GermanyBeautiful soft color tones.. the arches are wonderfully captured, this is a fabulous picture, JJ. 10 Jan 2009 10:50am Richard_Irwin from Belper, United KingdomWhat a super selection of architectural colours, nicely spotted. 10 Jan 2009 12:30pm chrissy from London, United Kingdomlove the arches, Central Park seems a fascinating place to visit!! 10 Jan 2009 2:01pm Manuel from Spaingood I like the "deepness" efect that produce the light behind the arches. 10 Jan 2009 3:03pm Marie-Hélène Ammor from Casablanca/Paris, MoroccoI rather believe that I am in an oriental fairy tale : it is beautiful !! And what wonderful colors ! 10 Jan 2009 3:15pm Alphons from Kaatsheuvel, NetherlandsBeautiful capture with a fine looking trough. The colours are delicious. 10 Jan 2009 4:05pm 613photo from DALLAS, United StatesI gotta break with the others...I think it's a bit over exposed. Not much...maybe just a half stop. But I think with this particular image that little half stop would make a pretty big difference, especially if you burned in the sidewalk in the foreground. Basically I like the image. I think the most interesting aspect is the lights coming from underneath. Bringing it down a half stop would make them more dramatic, in my opinion. And I think you'd get a deeper green from the facade as well. 10 Jan 2009 4:12pm @613photo: Thanks for the critique, I really appreciate it as its the best way for me to learn, I see what you mean and will keep it in mind Cheers conflagratio from valencia, SpainNice structure, a simetric picture and nicely framed. Looks lonely somehow, well captured. 11 Jan 2009 12:16am JamesC from portland, United StatesVery inviting, arches upon arches, leading to those broad stairs, very leading. But first, have to pass through the dark tunnel, before the escape up the stairs. 11 Jan 2009 12:38am Charles from New York, United StatesAwesome. Great exposure. I always have a hard time photographing this spot. Nice shot. 11 Jan 2009 1:11am dogilicious from Millerstown, PA, United StatesReally like the symmetry of the arches. Well done. 11 Jan 2009 1:49am Calusarus from St Sorlin en Valloire, FranceNice light on this architectural shot 11 Jan 2009 8:18pm Ada Panich from S.Benedetto del Tronto, ItalyA beautiful capture, perhaps I'd cut the floor on the foreground becouse the power of this composition is all in the portico, in the contrast between the colors of the frontal columns and those ones in the shadow. 14 Jan 2009 5:58pm Kathryn from Warburton, Australiathe soft pastel colours are lovely and seem to be quite a rare thing to find among all the vibrance of New York 14 Jan 2009 7:03pm dj.tigersprout from San Bruno, CA, United Statesjust awesome -- that light that descends the stairs is ethereal! 27 Jan 2009 1:56am |
