A sun halo over NYCPosted by JJ (Jersey City, United States) on 16 April 2010 in Cityscape & Urban. I take a break from my NZ shots today to post a shot I took yesterday at lunchtime After my lunchtime walk, as I was walking back to the Office I looked up and saw this Sun Halo and snapped a few shots, the building top left is the Chrysler building one of my personal favorite landmark buildings in the city If your wondering what causes a sun Halo, I did some googling and its apparently happens when there is a thin layer of clouds with small ice crystals which refract the sun and create the rainbow like halo Thank you for taking the time to visit. I really appreciate all your comments, and welcome any critique as I am learning the art of photography, and having a blast with it IF you see yourself in any of my people on the street shots and want it to be removed please contact me and I will remove it straight away

It's one of my favorites, too, especially from your delightful POV here. And to catch a sun halo with it is awesome.
