Gulf Coast solidarity

I wanted to show solidarity for Glenn - Viewfinder http://lookcloser.aminus3.com/ on his protest against BP, Unfortunately I dont have any Pelican shots to go with his and quite a few other protests shots being posted, but as well as the Pelicans so many varieties of wildlife are being devastated by this outrageous disaster.

This one is an old shot i have from Uganda which I have processed in a more dramatic way which seems apt in response to this disaster

I to am protesting and not buying or supporting anything produced by BP

Thank you for taking the time to visit. I really appreciate all your comments, and welcome any critique as I am learning the art of photography, and having a blast with it

Dramatic processing; this beautiful shore bird stands as a sentinel and a witness against the horrors visited upon its Gulf of Mexico cousins, whose ecosystem has very much been destroyed by BP. The earth repairs itself slowly; we may never again enjoy a pristine Gulf of Mexico in our lifetimes.

The treatment works wonderfully well.
Why just BP, the whole of the petro-chemical industry puts profit first and it is our own greed for cheap energy that is their incentive. Take a look at what is happening to Alberta where they are extracting oil from tar sands.

An ideal image. The well could have dreamed. The light in the bosom of this beautiful animal is wonderful. And what a pity that this dream becomes a nightmare that seems never ending. Allgo difficult to understand me. A huge disgrace against nature and it appears that man can not do more than he does. Totally absurd and a disgrace to us all!

I think we're all appalled, JJ, by what has happened...and NOT happened yet. However, my guess is it could have happened to any/all of the gas companies, not just BP!
