This one is a Memorial for Soldiers lost in the War of Rebellion, stnding in Lincoln Park in Jersey City NJ Thank you for taking the time to visit. I really appreciate all your comments, and welcome any critique as I am learning the art of photography, and having a blast with it IF you see yourself in any of my people on the street shots and want it to be removed please contact me and I will remove it straight away

The folks up North called it "The War of Rebellion." The compromise that came with time was "The Civil War." Neither of the first two names have common useage today except among "buffs," among whom I include myself. BTW, my great grandfather received a disabling but ultimately surviveable wound at the battle of Antietam fighting for the North ... er, The Union." As a Kiwi, no one expects you to know all this US trivia :) 26 Jul 2010 8:31pm @Formerly Known as MontereyJohn: Thanks for the education on this, I must admit back in my school days history was not one of my favorite subjects, but thanks for forgiving the Kiwi for his minimal knowledge of US History :) jamesy from christchurch, New Zealandfabulous shot JJ love the texture on the statute that you have managed to pick up 26 Jul 2010 9:19pm Susan from Pompano Beach, FL, USA from Pompano Beach, United StatesAnd you do statues so very well......this is great....and love that blurred background....really gives it punch !!! 26 Jul 2010 10:45pm Liang from San Francisco, United Statesgreat statue shown on natural light, love the bokeh! 27 Jul 2010 12:41am Wild Mustang Photography from Carlisle, United StatesBeautiful color composition!
